Play Griddle

NFL Wordle-style guessing game

Guess the mystery NFL player using team, division, position, height, age, and jersey number clues.

What Is Griddle?

Griddle is the daily player-guessing challenge for NFL fans. You get eight attempts to identify one player using real-world data and color-coded hints.

How To Read Hints

Green means exact match. Yellow means close: same conference for division, same side of ball for position, or within two for age/height/jersey.

Red means the attribute is off. Use each row to narrow toward the answer.

Build Information With Every Guess

Choose early guesses that cover useful differences in conference, position, age, size, and jersey number. Even when the player is wrong, a varied guess creates several independent clues. Repeating a similar player too soon often tells you less about the mystery answer.

Treat yellow attributes as ranges rather than exact matches. Combine a close age or height with the division and position feedback, then search for players who satisfy the whole profile. The strongest deductions use every column together instead of chasing one green square at a time.

Griddle Questions

How many guesses do I get? The standard daily Griddle allows up to eight attempts. Each submitted player produces a new row of color-coded comparisons with the answer.

Which players can I search? Griddle uses the active trivia player pool available to the game. Enter part of a player’s name, select a result, and use the returned attributes to narrow the next guess.
